It had that perfect luxury feel—elegant but comfortable, stylish without trying too hard. The space itself was huge. There were way more beds than we needed, which somehow made it even better. It felt generous, like every detail was designed to give guests more than they expect. Whether you’re traveling with a group or just want extra room to relax, it’s exactly what you’d hope for. The breakfast? Absolutely phenomenal. Fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of variety—easily one of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve ever had. It was the kind of meal you look forward to every morning. Everything we needed was included, and the staff made the whole experience feel effortless. The location was also spot-on—central, convenient, and surrounded by the character and charm of Edinburgh. This wasn’t just a place to stay—it was an experience we’ll remember. I’d go back in a second.

I am on a Scottish golfing holiday and this hotel provided a perfect facility and close to all of the notable golf courses in the Aberdeen district. Other than being a convenient locality, the food offering was exceptional (for a golfer) - good breakfast offering and a varied dinner menu. In addition to the food offering, the staff were both professional, efficient and friendly. Finally the manager of the facility was most obliging and flexible to accomodate the needs of a golfer
The hotel is unique and lovely. Set in beautiful gardens, it overlooks the famous Muirfield Golf Course. Staff were great and breakfast was first class. My golfing friends and I had a wonderful time. Guests can enjoy a relaxing drink inside in the bar or the library; or outside in the garden or by the croquet lawn watching the golfers.
We are not golfers but really enjoyed our stay at this golf club. Excellent food , pleasant staff and well located .
The room was lovely and clean Breakfast was fabulous everything was piping hot The staff were friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble The hotel was on the edge of the golf course which made it nice a quiet plus we had entertainment watching the golfers missing the hole
Staff at breakfast table and bar during the week completely unmotivated, reception as well as cleaning personnel tried their best, golf course was closed without explanation, spa only for 1 hour and only till 4:00 p.m. at add. 20 UKL, noise sensitive rooms, windows only able to open partly as curtain-construction did not allow to open more than 1 foot, sportsbar officially closing at 9:00 p.m. : no golf clubs for rental available, no sunbeds in a garden outside for relaxing, no pool,
Location was excellent, ideal having a private parking bay, lovely outside terrace to sit at (didn’t get the weather for it sadly!), pretty much on the golf course if you’re a golfer, travel cot and high chair were provided, kitchen has everything you’d need to rustle up a home cooked meal on your holidays!
We found this Windsor Gardens apartment to be a very clean, comfortable and well-managed accomodation with excellent parking. Perfect quiet location in Gleneagles estate with it's amenities, excellent base for exploring Perthshire, Fife and the Trossachs. Glasgow and Edinburgh closeby for day trips. For golfers obviously the Gleneagles courses, but Blairgowrie and St Andrews aren't far away, and the local 18 hole Auchterarder course is a hidden gem.
Parking space directly in front of the house. You will be welcomed there by Alexander. He is a very friendly host and shows you the entire apartment. Perfect accommodation for golfers, the Woodlands Glencoe Golf Course is on site.
The golf course is epic, a great layout, beautifully kept and presented. The room 'pods' were well appointed and cleaned each day. The pods are very close to the clubhouse brilliantly convenient for golf. The clubhouse and restaurant are top notch, great facilities and service was generally efficient. The food was lovely, the tikka stack burger particularly epic. Staff were excellent, friendly, polite and helpful. As a golf resort it has pretty much everything you need on site.
