The Helm Apartments B&B can help organise golf or adventure-based activities. On-street parking is available on-street for a small daily surcharge. We informed the management of the estimated time of our arrival and told them we would get a taxi straight to the facility. When we arrived at the Westport train station we were met by a member of the management in a mini bus. Lovely surprise. When my husband and friend arrived much later that evening the kitchen was closed but they cheerfully reopened it and fed them with a fabulous plate of fresh fish and chips. The food was absolutely delicious and very plentiful. The owners and staff were wonderful, very warm and friendly. The apartment was very pleasant and comfortable. I cannot speak highly enough of the people of this warm and welcoming place. I hope to return there someday and very highly recommend it to people looking for a lovely vacation experience. Claremorris Golf Club is 20 km from the accommodation, while Martin Sheridan Monument is 29 km from the property. Ireland West Knock Airport is 19 km away, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. We had the benefit of using a large fully equipped Kitchen, so we were able to prepare our own food at any time of our choice. It was very convenient. The location was in the Knock Town centre, ideal.

Our accommodation was very clean and comfortable. The location is central and convenient for walking into the centre of town.

What a lovely stay! Our room was spotless, spacious, and modern with a nice view right onto the water. The pub was fantastic, the food out of this world, breakfast was lovely, and the staff truly wonderful. My sizzler dish set off the fire alarm (sorry for that!), nothing unusual for them, but quite an event for me. I would highly recommend the Oak tree lodge to anyone.

The basic welcome pack was much appreciated. We had access to two bedrooms with ensuites, if required. Accommodation was fully equipped and instructions well defined. Mary booked us into the local Tavern. It was an easy walk and served excellent meals. Sat Nav in car took us to the property.
