The kitchen has all necessary modern amenities in a style that suits the property. In all details a successful attempt to perfection. Besides all this, Ikuno is a charming little town, with surprising good views at every bend of the river, where life seems to go at an easy pace. There are nice places to eat and there is a big enough supermarket with a good variety of fresh foods.

I had the chance to see the inn before the renovation and meet Nao San. Nao San is a great host. The inn is beautiful and clean. The scenery around the it is wonderful and everyone, workers and visitors were friendly and welcoming!! I promise to come back and see the place after the renovation ;)

Traditional Japanese style housing with stunning gardens, a stream with bamboo forest, Koi pond, and some modern touches for comfort. The owners went above and beyond in every way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. After a week, they began to feel like family. The breakfast and dinners they serve are seared into my brain because they are just so good…and eating while gazing out into the garden was such a zen moment. We’re sure to never forget this stay and I look forward to returning.

The house was very pretty, clean and comfortable. It had all the amenities anyone can think of including bicycles. The owner was very helpful and friendly. The house is located in a very quiet neighbourhood of Kyoto but close to the main tourist places and also close to the northern hills surrounding Kyoto. Definitely recommend!

Taketoritei Maruyama is a non-smoking Japanese-style accommodation featuring natural hot spring baths for private use and free Wi-Fi throughout the property. Love the onsens. We managed to try 3 out of the 8 onsen during our one night trip. There were free flowing apple juice, coffee and hot choclate at the lobby. You can also asks staff to drive you to certain areas. Super convenient.

A 12-minute walk from the Kintetsu Nara Train Station, Hotel New Wakasa offers Japanese-style rooms with tatami (woven-straw) flooring. Amazing hotel in the hearth of Nara. Great rooms with amazing amenities and great rooftop terrace. The rooms were excellent and staff was very friendly and helpful.

Offering a completely non-smoking hot-spring experience, Ohara Sanso features hot-pot dinners and a unique cafe with a hot-spring foot bath. Such a beautiful location both the surrounding nature and area but also the hotels little garden.
