Lovely place about a 10-15 minute walk from the train station. We were there on 2 cold days in March but our room was warm with a heater and electric blankets. Very comfortable beds and an onsen in the room. We had a beautiful view out our window and in nice weather it would be lovely to sit outside but not on this visit. You eat downstairs in a pleasant dining room. The 2 dinners were fabulous and well prepared but we couldn't eat much of the breakfast (it was all Japanese), other guests loved it. But on the second day the cooks made us a delicious breakfast that kept us going all day. The owner is very helpful, he cares a lot about his guests, he's still working on the place and it will be really nice when it's done.

The staff, food, and private bath were 10/10. My wife and I are vegetarians, so food was abit difficult to coordinate. At the end, we only had breakfast(vegetarian) and had to skip dinner. In spit of that though we will most definitely visit again.

SEKIYA RESORT Terrace Midoubaru is located a 15-minute drive from JR Beppu Station and boasts guestrooms with a semi open-air bath. Guests can soak in the hot spring bath. The view was amazing, the room is very bright and large. Staff was friendly and we have no complaints!

Yufuin-Sanso Waremokou offers large Japanese-style rooms boasting an open-air cypress hot spring bath, sweeping nature and city views and a massage chair. Amazing service and a beautiful room with private onsen! Will definitely come back

The location is nice as it is in those tiny, pretty streets. It is very close to various onsens and also close to Beppu Jigoku. It has its own small onsen, where your room has a reserved time. However, the most wonderful thing was the personnel. The lady owner of the house was so kind and nice that you feel like an angel is taking care of you.
