It’s not big, but there is everything you need and more! Host Anne is very nice and welcoming. Apartment is integrated in the main house but there is a separate entrance and a enough privacy. Location is great, 5min walk to the beach and a few eateries. Short drive to Takaka where there is a big supermarket and more restaurants.

She is a really nice host and welcomed us with drinks and recommendations. The room is really nice and cozy and had absolutely everything we needed and more.

They were convivial, giving us useful advice about what to sight-see and where to eat, as well as providing an information folder easily on par with that of a well-appointed hotel. They also let us use their laundry facilities. Our modern bedroom was large, air conditioned, and had plenty of space for our luggage. We had a separate lounge area, and a spacious, tasteful bathroom (this was the only place we stayed which had a shower with a foot rest). My wife was especially impressed with the generous breakfast spread. All this, and it was the least expensive place we stayed.

Pohara Beach TOP 10 Holiday Park offers a variety of beach-side accommodation with free on-site parking. All accommodation offers an outdoor seating area and mountain and garden views. The park was right on the beach. The bathrooms were exceptionally clean. There is a coffee shop and restuarant right accross from park.
