Absolutely loved the charming place - high ceilings, clean, with spacious room/bathroom, comfortable bed, and close to everything. The continental breakfast consists of good-quality yogurt, cereal, oats and great coffee - exactly what I’d have back home!

Archway Motels & Chalets offers quiet and secluded accommodation, only 200 metres from Lake Wanaka. First time in a motel for us and it proved to be an excellent choice. All the staff were very friendly, polite and exceedingly helpful, they were full of local information. The cabin we stayed in was spacious, very clean and well equipped. Highly recommended it for both able and disabled patrons. Also parking outside the room was very helpful.

Location is excellent, being very close to Clyde and Alexandra where there are good restaurants. For the sporty types, it is close to the hiking/cycling trails and a visit to nearby Cromwell is worthwhile, especially the Goldfields Mining Centre where you can learn all about the 1860s gold rush. Finally, there is winery that you can visit within a kilometer!
