Situated in the Furnas Valley, Terra Nostra Garden Hotel is surrounded by calderas, mineral and thermal springs. It is a short drive from volcanic beaches, forest areas, and two golf courses. The room was spacious , clean and comfortable. The 24 hrs access to the hot spring pools was fantastic. We had the pools to ourselves after 5 pm. We ate sushi one night and it was delicious. Parking was easy and convenient. They allowed us to keep our entrance to gardens and hot spring after check out and even gave us a new robe and towels.

My room had full bed bunk beds -- it was so nice to have a little bigger space to sleep after twin bed throughout the rest of my trip. The hostel is in a great location too and is super clean!

The host, Claudia, and the staff were so welcoming and helpful. The apartment complex and the gardens are beautiful. We especially enjoyed the tasty fruits we picked ourselves from the garden. The complex is located in a quiet village in the middle of the island, but close to all the main hikes/attractions/lakes. Only 15-20 minutes from Ponta Delgada. Very recommended.

Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. Fantastic hotel. My 9 year old daughter absolutely loved it and she wants to go back. Great swimming pool. The farm stay features rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. The villa is located in the most incredible of settings. The view from the beautiful pool and hot tub area, includes a view of the mountains, as well as glimpses of Ponta Delgado and the ocean. But the loveliest part of the property, is the orange groves brimming with beautiful flowers, which guests are free to wander and enjoy. The villa itself, offered all the amenities a guest could want, and offered ample space for our family. It was beautifully decorated and well appointed. Our host Anna, was so sweet and helpful. The homemade cakes she periodically left on the dining table, were a welcome surprise at the end of a day of sightseeing. The villa was perfectly located as a base to explore San Miguel and was very close to Ponta Delgada. But once you were back at the villa, it was an oasis of calm and tranquillity. The pool and hot tub were wonderful for relaxing and soaking tired muscles after a day of exploring the island.
