Breakfast was very good and the home made butter was very, very tasty .I will not forget about the bakery inside the property ,a self service facility ,very authentic .Definitely if I will travel again in Sweden I will come back with my family.

Set by a fortress from 1735, this waterfront hotel on Värmdö Island offers impressive views of Solöfjärden and the surrounding archipelago. We wanted a break from hard travel and are so glad we chose Fredriksborg. The rooms are very simple with a terrific outlook. The location is remarkable, on a hill above the deep water channel going in and out of Stockholm. The first time we saw a huge ship gliding by above eye level was a happy surprise. The dinner served at their restaurant was superb. But the best of all is the staff. They take great pride in the history of the location and its role in the defense of Stockholm in centuries past. Pontus (spelling ?) went out of his way to show us the property as well as to drive us to the ferry for the return to Stockholm. We were very appreciative.

Not the standard "continental" breakfast (donuts)... full breakfast and very good. The location is very quiet since it's at the end of a road - no traffic noise and safe. The staff was wonderful and most everyone speaks English. Coffee in the rooms was wonderful as well - I can't say enough about the staff. Mark, Mike and Joel are the managers and they were simply wonderful to talk to - informative and friendly.

This renovated barn house is located in the peaceful countryside close to Lake Mälaren, just 6 km from Strängnäs. Free WiFi internet and private parking are included in all rates. Everything is amazing here. Close to animals and forest, beautyful views and buildings. Host who was managing with breakfast was super-nice.
