Beautifully renovated, very clean, and location is amazing! The common use of the large kitchen, living room and patio was great, we shared with a large family who occupied multiple rooms, and everyone was friendly and respectful. We loved our stay at Alte Metzg more than at other hotels on our travels!

Very spacious and comfortable room. Came to stay one night for an early start ski touring. The room is well maintained, warm and functional. Comfortable bed, good shower. The hotel doesn’t provide breakfast but there is a common fridge where one can deposit their things (there is a numbered box per room inside the fridge) and free hot coffee and tea in the morning.

This place is amazing. It is like walking into a museum. I love that the owners did not just gut this historic house and made it look new and sanitized. Instead, they are working on restoring the place step by step while preserving the character and charm. Original windows, radiators, beautiful doors and locks. Grand house on a hill surrounded by greenery.

value for money, friendly staff, location is perfect, walking distance from the main train station. depending on what you look for, it is a small village ambiance, quiet and peaceful. breakfast was great and i was even given extra time to check out as i was running late. will stay here again for my next visit in the near area.
