Roberta was very kind and helped us getting a taxi to Calama airport for a fair price! The bed was large and very comfortable. The location is not in the center but the center is very walkable. Since it is a bit out of town it is very quite during the night and day. The breakfast was very nice, we had lots of fruits, bread,egg and yoghurt with cereals. We stayed in different accommodations in San Pedro and this was definitely the best!

very neat and nicely decorated rooms, spacious enough to store things, with everything you need for your stay, nice breakfast, extremely kind and friendly staff - they allowed us to take a shower on the last day after the excursion and after we checked out which was great, beautiful shared terrace in front of the rooms, we booked all the excursions through them - every compliment on choosing the agency, we were very satisfied, good internet connection

The staff are SO sweet and genuinely care about you. Maribel does everything she can to make you feel welcome. She goes above and beyond to make sure all your needs are met! I have never stayed at a place where the staff has been so welcoming and kind! The location is quiet, but very close to the busy area as well. I highly recommend this hostal :)

The owner is very dedicated to his quests! He is always available and ready to help. When we arrived we were asked whether we want to switch the room for the one which is hotter at night. So just two of us ended up in the spacious room for 5 people and a kitchen. I really appreciate that the owner prioritized our well-being and provided to us a much better room then we booked. A room was very clean. Breakfast was basic but very good. If you are unable to eat a breakfast because you go for a trip you receive a snack (crackers) and a juice, which is a nice gesture.

Wow! What an amazing place to stay. Just outside the main hustle and bustle but very easy to get into town. We stayed 3 nights and were sad to leave. Ani is an amazing host, we received exceptional service, way above and beyond anything we would have expected or asked for. Thanks so much for having us, we hope we can visit again in the future!

Finding a gem like this, in the middle of the Atacama desert is truly amazing. Angelica is a wonderful host. She went out of her way to ensure that we were taken care of; from arranging breakfast when we had to leave early and checking us in earlier than scheduled, providing all the information we needed for visiting nearby sites and allowing us the use of the kitchen and laundry facilities. The location is very near the main road with great access to shops and services nearby. The rooms are comfortable and clean with the adequate amenities for a pleasant stay. We really enjoyed our stay at the Hostal Desert and would not hesitate to go back. You cannot go wrong with such an amazing hostess and property!

The hosts really made us feel at home and offered cups and hot water for breakfast even though they don't offer the service. Bed was comfortable and had lots of blankets so we didn't feel cold at any moment during the night. The shower was both strong and hot during any time of the day, it only lacked some height as it was at the limit for a 1,90m person. All in all a great value for money hostel, a little bit distant from the city center (which is a plus if you want to gaze at the stars) but only a 10-15 min walk from points of interest like the bus terminal or the main street with agencies and restaurants.
