A charming and comfortable hostel with the best possible location for travellers who want to explore downtown and enjoy a variety of restaurants. This is not your typical hostel. It’s larger than most other places, and you will get a guided tour on your arrival! We loved the privacy and the size of our large double room. Even better was the people running the place: everyone from the owners Samuel and Nancy to the employees. When we got into trouble, the owner spent so much time helping us that we will remember it for the rest of our lives. It took us four hostels, during our three visits in Bogota, to find a place to come back to. The real Colombia magic. Already looking forward to seeing everybody again.

The hosts are fantastic and the hostel is very clean. It is extremely good value for money. Local restaurants, shops & bars nearby. Close to Monserrate & Germania. Germania has excelleng restaurant and cafes, also a nice area to walk around.

The location iis excellent, at a walking distance from all important turistic places in bogota. It's located in la Calendelaria, the safest place in Bogota. Good showers, beds, and employees are extremely welcoming. I had a wonderfful stay in Casa Asteomelia, I felt at home.

We have spent a total of 2 weeks here and extended twice because we liked it so much! Thus, we have stayed in all possible room options (in the deluxe room, double room with private bathroom and double room without private bathroom). All rooms are very clean and have a comfortable bed with enough blankets for the cold night, with the deluxe room having the largest and most comfortable bed. However, we found the shared shower even more pleasant than the shower in the deluxe room, as it gets very hot and has a good water pressure (only semi warm in the deluxe). Breakfast varies each day and is very good. There is free coffee all day long! The location is great, everything is in walking distance and the area is very safe. The nights are very quiet with no street noise. A special plus is the dog Pongo and the cats that are often in the common area. We will definitely come back again!

The place is perfectly located in a traditional colonial building in La Candelaria, walking distance to all the important and interesting sites. Owners are super nice and helpful, they even gave us better room in the same price! Typical Colombian breakfast included. The place is under renovation and it still requires to be polished here and there but basically it's a good option to stay in Bogota.
