The staff and owners are incredibly friendly and helpful and made our stay the best. Their cute and well-behaved animals were a big plus! The hostel is clean, the beds comfortable and the aircon great (and necessary). Delicious breakfast. Good wifi! Located in a calmer part of Santa Marta with fewer restaurants, although close to the beach. A bit noisy during the evenings due to the traffic outside. Ideal for people traveling in groups or in pairs.

Was a great stay we came back a second time. Met Jan who gave us a great tour of the city. Both Snr Felix and Jan very welcoming and great with history on Santa marta and advice. The bedroom was nice, comfortable and lots of ventilation, the bathroom was reasonably clean and the breakfast (w coffee) was a nice extra. Made Santa Marta one of my favourite cities to visit in Colombia so far! The buses to Park Tayrona were passed by 2 streets over.

My stay at Blue Dot was incredible. Even though the place is still under construction, my stay was very comfortable. The surroundings are spectacular and a perfect place to relax and unwind on the beautiful river or in one of the comfy hammocks with jungle views. I went on a nice adventure tour to one of the many waterfalls around, and can only give the highest marks for the whole experience. Besides that Daan cooked some very flavourful Vegas distes, and added smoothies of fruit that was freshly picked next to the hostel.

Really good location and truly lovely host, would absolutely recommend, on the quieter side of Taganga but that was ideal for us, very clean space nice rooms and great kitchen

With Juan it's a vybe. He has been really kind to us. Moreover he can store your luggage while you visit the Tayrona park. Very recommended for a beautiful experience in Santa Marta.

La ubicación. La cocina comunitaria lacks proper utensils, sauce pan and pots are ten years old or worst. No coffee maker, no knives, no tweezers, but worst af all no knives. In fact, there is only a small a couple of years old knife that somebody left. A regular 2" gas lighter is there for you to introduce the hand close to two excelent burners that burns ouir hands. Kitchen ceiling light does not work, water faucet is loose and no soap for dishes. The promoted terrace to look over the sea ys not properly suited for seating. The location is what makes this place great. however is not an experience that exceeds our expectations. Thanks!
