The place is wonderful, in the middle of the gardens and mountains, very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The place is very close to the tourist site of the world. Absolutely charming guesthouse run by Tayeb and his family, who were extremely hospitable and welcoming – they were kind enough to let us check in early after our overnight train from Cairo and to keep one room for a few extra hours on our last day. The breakfast is incredible – we couldn't believe how much food there was, and it just kept coming! The aubergines with tahini were a particular highlight, and we all loved the halawa spread; we also had dinner one night, which was one of our favourite meals of the whole trip. For our second night, Tayeb recommended an amazing local restaurant, which was our other favourite meal! He also arranged a taxi to bring us back. Nothing was too much trouble, and we felt totally relaxed and at home. Would recommend without reservation to anyone wanting to experience Egyptian hospitality and to support a local family. Oh, and we loved being able to watch the hot air balloons over the Valley of the Kings in the morning! Great viewpoint from the terrace.

I love this beautiful little place! I feel both at home and at peace here. I gladly extended my trip and I’m in bed best place to rest and rejuvenate myself. There is a restaurant next door owned by the same family and the dinner is absolutely fabulous! Definitely give it a try!
