The Beeches hotel is a small family managed hotel with a nice personal touch. It is a welcome break from the anonymous large hotel chains where you are just a number. The rooms are very comfortable. I had a pretty large room with windows towards the great Western Road (you could hear the traffic but it certainly wasn't too noisy). It included a nice small tea making facility (which was not strictly necessary as the common room downstairs was accessible at any hour and included provider variation of teas and an excellent espresso machine). John gave me a very warm welcome and was extremely helpful during my stay. I certainly wish I had reason to stay longer :)

Lovely stay in very comfortable upstairs apartment, with great hosts and excellent standard of facilities - lots of thoughtful extras. Great view. Very comfy bed. Enjoyed the breakfast basket. Couldn't have asked for anything more.

Nice, clean, comfortable room. Had a sink, a kettle, coffee, milk and sugar. Nice view from the window as well. I didn't use the common areas, so couldn't really judge. The nice host informed me there was a microwave I could use as well.

Room was clean. Location was excellent and walkable from Town centre and beach. Breakfast was quite good, you could build a healthy meal if you choose - eggs, butter, coffee/tea, bacon, tomato, Greek yogurt, berries. Of course there were other items too as part of the hot/cold breakfast which we avoided but would fill you up with a long day ahead. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. They stored some ice packs for us and also let us leave our bags at their place since we had a late flight on the day of check out.

Anna and her husband were the most kind and helpful hosts we came across during our one-week trip. They went above and beyond when serving breakfast to accommodate every request. Loved that the allowed everyone to store things to eat and drink in a fridge. Very helpful if you want a drink in the evening. The sitting room was a blessing after wondering the city through the day.
