A stunning town. The hotel is within walking distance of the center and the restaurants. Lovely staff and the room was huge and very comfortable. From there you can get on a bus to all the surrounding villages.

Wonderful location and friendly staff. We walked the way down to Ambleside and picked berries and met deer and cows. A quiet place almost directly on the lake. We had a room in a smaller house and enjoyed it very much.

I did not take breakfast - the room exceeded my expectations. We stayed in the small double room so we could have a terrace - was nice to sit on terrace in the evening/morning. Location was fantastic. Minutes to walk to the lake where you can take boat rides etc. Also many restaurants and pubs close by. Definitely recommend this place!! The staff was extremely nice - I was able to drop off my luggage early and leave it after check-out for 3 hours. Perfect for us!
