Nice large cottage with individual rooms. Private bathroom and tea/coffee facilities. Additionally, there is a pleasant common reading room at the back of the cottage. Whilst on a busy road, we did not hear any noise from our room towards the rear of the cottage. There is a very nice pub 4 minutes up the road which does a variety of pub food. The facilities matched the price.

The bed was extremely comfortable, the breakfast was excellent and host Lorna was so helpful in all ways. I stayed here as an overnight stop between flights in and out of Edinburgh Airport.

The room was nice and clean, and had full set of bedding and toiletries, and also the fridge and the teakettle. The staff always responded quickly and after we asked, even put the iron and the ironing board in our room before we arrived. The bus stop for the bus from the Waverley station is close to the hotel.

Comfortable bed, I found it hard to wake up. Had a fridge in the room, which was great for us. Great communication, and Kim was such a lovely host.

My experience at Sonas Guesthouse exceeded by far my expectations! My room was perfectly cleaned and prepared to accommodate my wife and me. In addition to the cosy place itself, a grab-and-go breakfast was available since we'd travel pretty early the next day. Lastly, the surrounding area is lovely, and we could find a perfect Greek restaurant right around the corner. I won't think twice when booking a place for my next quick stay in Edinburgh!
