Located basically in the center of Batumi, Gurami Guest house is within easy walking distance to the Black Sea, shops, restaurants, and other sites. Just so you know, it's not a "hotel". It's a guest house, so the owner lives and works there as well. It's an older maison that's been converted into rooms, so they have the feel of a bedroom to it. There's a terrace on the third floor where you can relax, wash your clothes, and there's a communal kitchen if you want to cook, or heat something up. There's no breakfast with the price, but there's plenty of cafes and restaurants in the area. The owner also has a rather large dog. He's super friendly and doesn't bark. So be prepared to feel like you're staying in someone's house.

we stayed for one night at this location to visit the raptor migration viewpoint. We were warmly welcomed by the hosts. The facilities were perfect for our needs, the room was clean, great views of the surroundings, possibility to make you own food if needed. The shared facilities were spacious and just a 15 min walk from the raptor viewing point. The host family are super nice and we had a very nice stay with them. They are happy to help out if you need something (e.g. drive to the raptor viewing point, local shop, the second raptor viewing point 20 min drive further). Another nice spot to visit in the area is the arboretum and the nearby beach. We definitely would have liked to stayed longer, but had a tight schedule, so we just need to come back to Georgia again.

The owners of the house are so friendly and welcoming, who are always willing to help. They really make you feel home. They would always give us a lift anywhere we needed to. The location is beautiful, really peaceful and calm. The view is gorgeous, make you sure you leave your room and eat on the terrace in order to enjoy the sunrise. Or to hang out with with your friends on the terrace, listen to music and dance (that’s what we did) The owner of the house even gave us his homemade wine before we left❤️
