The room was beautifully appointed and clean with great views of the medieval buildings and the sea below. Nice modern take on a traditional design. The hosts were lovely and very welcoming.

The place is great if you want to relax. Peaceful hills around, black skies at night…. A car is a must. Is it far from the beach or Monemvasia? No, but it all depends on your demands – check on Google Maps – it gives you a realistic idea. Privacy is complete (there are some houses not too far behind, and people live there, but I only met somebody once). For us, it was ideal. But this depends on your needs. For instance, we never met the host in 8 days there. I liked this fact, but this also meant that we had to buy food for breakfast, because the promised breakfast was not included. There was food when we came, which lasted about 3 days, but after that, that was it; I wrote to the owner and the owner responded that he couldn’t bring more food, because he lived far. So when you compare prices, do not take ‘Breakfast Included’ into account, if you stay longer than 3 days or so. So what you get is an ideal place, a cosy suite, and a complete privacy for a reasonable price, but without any service, if that’s important for you. We spent some time in Monemvasia almost every day, and it became more interesting each time we got there, but I would not choose it for vacation rental. In Guesthouse Kamara, we were surrounded by greenery, olive groves, while in Monemvasia, there’s mostly stones, ruins, and tourists. It’s very interesting and beautiful in Monamvasia, but not really relaxing, I’d say. Also, I wanted to mention, we made many furry friends there. Nice little cats and kittens in need of food. They ate ANYTHING we gave them, including BREAD. I mean each and every one of them. They were nice and gentle, but appeared pretty hungry, and we couldn’t stop ourselves from buying sausages and cheap fish for them. And we had to give out sausages piece by piece to make sure everyone gets some. So yes, I do recommend this place for a complete relaxation… And don’t forget to treat the cats!

The location, the staff is very, very helpful, the minibalcony right in front, the restaurant and the beach right in front of the rooms. Everything was simply perfect.

John & Christos are fantastic people who happen to live in paradise. If you love nature, this is the place. Amazing landscapes, crystal clear water, secluded beaches, good food and an incredible garden. The house is brand new and originally decorated, and nothing beats the views from the room balcony. You will sleep perfectly. We wish we could come back every year.

When we arrived we got welcomed by the owner of the hotel. The room was very beautiful, cozy, clean and with a good working air conditioning. The cleaning service did every day a great job. I’m our room we had the nice balcony with a sunset on the sea every night. From our balcony we could also see the swimming pool, with the hot weather it was really nice to go for a dive there and lay in the sun. Every morning we had a good and diverse breakfast. The staff was always really nice and polite, when we were going for dinner the owner of the hotel brought us to the city center. These 2 days we experienced as more than perfect and very lovely. Monemvasia si a beautiful place. Staying at kissamitakis guest house you are in an ancient walled city and still have all the facilites of modern life, even more than in our home. We could hace hot showers, wash our clothes, heat water, make orange juice... George has everything you need and more for a confortable stay (cofee maker, steam iron, tv, tablet games, books and magazines of monemvasia...) He even left food for us to make breakfast. George was always present for everything we needed. The main showers is outside the house, but is something we already knew for the descripción. It is logical given the ancient place and was no burden at all. You came off the shower, saw the ocean and inmediatly entered the main room. Exceeded our expectations in every way.

The view was breathtaking! Lovely service and quiet area. Easy parking as well.
