Zelinia is the perfect place to stay when you come to the Vikos Gorge and its surroundings. Beautiful views, excellent, friendly welcome, our host is the most perfect host we have ever met. :) Yes, no kitchen, shared fridge, but trust me, we didn't miss it. We drove to Monodendri in the mornings (about 5 minutes) for coffee. As we knew the area, we shopped at the supermarket in Asfaka before arriving at the accomodation, so we could always have breakfast - as we had read the description on Booking, we took plates and cutlery with us. We were on the road all day and it was always nice to arrive at the accomodation. One of us had a cold from the car air conditioning one day and our host turned on the heating at our request during the night without a word and brought tea - we are very grateful for this, we have never had such kindness on our travels. I highly recommend this accommodation!

Kipi Suites is located in Kipi village in Zagori, overlooking the river of Baya and Mitsikeli mountain. The guesthouse combines the local traditional architecture with modern design interiors.

The rooms were amazing, with a dedicated fireplace, very comfortable bed, spacious toilet and shower and furnished in a modern, stylish and prestigious way. The mini bar was very nice with complimentary coffee, tea and water. The breakfast in the morning was lavish, and, to this date, the best I've ever had in a hotel: all fresh and handmade. The view also was spectacular looking into the valley. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff as well that recommended us several treks in the area.

Lucas's guesthouse was a home away from home. In addition to the beautiful rooms it had a fully equipped kitchen, cosy living area a with a fire place and an excellent selection of Greek music. Lucas is very knowledgeable about the area and was very helpful with tips for hiking and places to visit. I ended up staying longer than initially planned.

Papigo is a wonderful ancient village, with a spectacular view on the 4 mountains called The Towers, immersed in a sublime silence. Saxonis Houses offers large and comfortable rooms, with an elegant equipment, full of nice old objects; breakfast is really excellent: every day different pies and cakes, fresh fruit and bread, and at the end a delicious Greek yogurth. The stuff is extremely kind: Vassili, Anna, and Dimitri are nice, sweet and very helpful; they offer good suggestions about the several tours you can make in the surroundings or about the various restaurants; and Vassili offers his very good wine and his homemade Tsipouro. They make really unforgettable this unique experience!

The stone Avragonio is located 300 metres from Papigo Village centre. Built according to the local, traditional architecture, it features accommodation with fireplace and Tymfi Mountain views.

We loved everything....the room with a balcony and a view over the snowy mountains, the comfy bed, the yummy breakfast and friendly staff. The wonderfully quirky and quaint setting....one of our best stays in a month of Greece. The other thing you need to try is their Italian restaurant called Adriano which is in the village, a couple of minutes walk away. The best pizza we have had outside of Italy!!!! Thank you for a most memorable and enjoyable stay.

The location was great, right in the middle of the small village yet quiet. The room was very cosy and had everything for a comfortable stay. We loved the restaurant, quality of the breakfast was really good. We had lunch and dinners there as well. Prices was very reasonable and the food was the best we had our whole holiday.

Outstanding service! Christos Helped us with everything we needed, sat down and explained to us about the area and helped us plan our stay here. The atmosphere and the place are really pleasant, very clean, the beds are comfortable. A very nice breakfast, handmade pastries, cheese, sausage, bread, butter and eggs. I recommend everyone to come and meet Christos and his family, they really made our stay amazing

This is a beautifully renovated pristine set of rooms with hand painted ceilings and lovely bathrooms. Location is steps from an excellent taverna, the Epirus walking trail to Astraka hut, and the village park lot - yet it is very quiet. Dimitrios was a wonderful host, helping us clarify our hiking trail, giving us food for our packed lunches, bringing us afternoon coffee and cakes on the pretty garden patio Breakfast is plentiful and coffee is good. We now recommend this place to other walkers.

This was my final stopover hiking around the Vikos Gorge. Maria (a very welcoming and solicitious host) let me drop bags off several days in advance so that I could hike light. The house (traditional, with stone arches and courtyard) is situated in a quiet cobbled lane (not directly reachable by car, the entrance is about 80m from the car park) and, while within easy reach of the main square, was very quiet at night. Clean and comfortable room. Plenty of breakfast options (and available earlier than in most places), Maria is keen to please.
