Bruno was amazing. He picked us up from the port when we arrived, and drove us to the rooms with our luggage. He was energetic and told us much about the history of Croatia and Hvar. The rooms were clean and quiet, and Bruno ensured we had everything we needed.

Spacious, v comfortable bed, more a little apartment than just a room, mini kitchen with cooker, fridge etc, two balconies with different sea aspects, right on the sea - idyllic! Delicious breakfast, anything we wanted - Sanja encouraged us to make a sandwich with our leftovers when we were leaving. She and her son v warm and welcoming. fabulous restaurant, Stella Mare, nearby. We’d highly recommend it and definitely like to return. Driving to Zavala was a little bit scary (for us who are only getting used to mountain roads) but very doable.

If I could give this place more than a 10, I absolutely would. It’s the best hospitality I’ve experienced in Croatia. The staff is absolutely wonderful—very kind and welcoming. They spoke English, German and Croatian to the guests and always made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The house is just steps from the beach—it really doesn’t get better than that. While I’ve seen some comments about the beds being uncomfortable, I personally found mine very comfortable. They offered toiletries, comfortable towels, toilet paper and room service! For those who have been to Croatia, you'll know that this is rare! I highly recommend choosing the half-board option at Pansion Marjan! The continental breakfast features fresh, homemade ingredients, and in the evening, you’re treated to an outstanding 3-course dinner made with local produce that truly brings out the authentic flavors of Dalmatia. They also serve homemade liqueurs and wine, which pair perfectly with the food. You’ll dine on a terrace with breathtaking 10/10 views, making every meal even more enjoyable. We were also so grateful that our dog was warmly welcomed, which meant a lot to us. We usually don’t return to the same place for vacations, but for Pansion Marjan, we just might make an exception.

The apartment was spotless and smelled amazing. It looked exactly like the photos. The sheets and bed were super comfortable. The parking lot is nearby (a 6-minute walk). You’ll need to go up a few stairs to the apartment, but the view from the apartment is absolutely worth it. Speaking of the view… WOW! It’s magical just sitting there, enjoying the moment. Even though the apartment is across from a small port, the noise wasn’t an issue at all. The soundproof windows help, especially if you’re a light sleeper like me. In fact, I slept like a rock the entire stay! We truly felt at home. Marija is an incredible host. The check-in, check-out, and parking all went smoothly thanks to her clear instructions and assistance. She’s easy to communicate with, friendly, responsive, helpful, and above all, kind. On our last day, my husband had to go to the ER due to food poisoning. It was a long night, and finding another place to stay for his recovery would’ve been difficult. Even though she had another guest arriving, Marija kindly arranged for us to stay one extra night so he could rest before our long journey home. There are things in life we simply can’t thank enough. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Marija! You and your lovely home will not be forgotten. We’ll definitely miss Jelsa and hope to return soon for another wonderful, relaxing vacation. P.S. Don’t hesitate to purchase the dried lavender and lavender oil available at the apartment. They’re among the best I’ve ever bought. Perfect for a relaxing bath and a beautiful reminder of this magical place.

Marijana is a lovely host, she briefed us about the island including the town Vrboska. Much appreciated all her recommendations. She was very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The town is in the perfect location on the island, easy to access other major attractions within the island.
