Pro: the owner of the stay are so so nice and helpful! The garden is the most amazing garden I have ever seen. You even have a famous Bali swing in there! It’s magical! The view is stunning from the bungalow! The bungalow is new, big and clean. The bathroom is also very big and clean! :) we loved our stay here, a little paradise.

Absolutely incredible! My partner and I started falling in love for the room. What a room! Comfortable and cozy with your own toilet. The house itself also stands out from the others I’ve been in. Fully equipped with all the latest utensils you need. You can cook in there and you have markets around (10 min walk). The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. All of them speak English what makes it easier. Apel is the best staff ever, very funny and reliable. He’s got the best tips for your trip and he can help you with taxi and days trip. To sum up, we have the owner who has very kind to us even though he doesn’t live there (he also speaks French). He organised a spectacular event, a dinner for all the guests were living in the house. So we could share our different cultures and experiences. Maybe, the most unique idea I’ve seen in many years of travelling.

It is a very quiet and lovely place, the room is spacious and clean. Everything is very new. There is a beautiful garden outside and the host family is very very kind and friendly. Good wifi and AC, nice lightning in the room. I really enjoyed there.

Boutique style hotel with only 6 rooms, run by the owner/family and some staff. All very helpfull with everything, including but not limited to visa extension, scooter rental, taxi to our next destination. By the way, an excellent place as a starting point in Bali, or upon leaving due to vicinity to the airport.

    Villa Wastra is probably the most beautiful place we’ve ever been. It’s true that it is not a centric as other places in Ubud but if you’re looking for a place off the beaten track where you can unwind and just listen to the birds chirping, this is the place. We were lucky to be the only guests, which made the experience more unique. Besides, Maria, the host, was extremely helpful and caring. I actually cried when leaving the house.

    cozy rooms, clean bathrooms with hot water shower, very good breakfast in the morning but what is absolutely amazing is the beautiful garden in front of the rooms, neatly and carefully cultivated by our caring hosts - Wayan and his wife Emma I have never met such nice hosts in my whole life…

    Charming, quiet, peaceful. Not for those who want extravagance or are exacting in their demands. Staff speak little english but we managed and they are absolutely charming. A real jewel.

    Bucu hidden guest house is a hidden gem! Especially if you are interested in meditation and mindfulness I can highly recommend to stay there. The location is wonderfully peaceful with a beatiful garden, the room is spacious and clean and, most importantly, Wayan and his wife are incredible hosts. Thank you Wayan for the time I had at your place, I will certainly come back!
