It was a nice and clean, very well maintained property. Breakfast was excellent! The mixed fruitjuice suberbe, not to speak of the magnificant view. From our balcony also we had a good view on the activities of the fishermen, and nearby there is an excellent café where you can eat.

Johnson is very friendly and accommodating. The room is exactly as shown. Anyone wanting to stay with a family in their home while in India should choose Johnson. Really helpful setting up day trips - shikara, canoe, kayaking, houseboat. The AC was an absolute blessing! Delicious breakfast.

The two guys who helped us out when we were there were amazing and went above and beyond for us. They helped us with getting data for our phones, 1 am check-ins, recommendations for restaurants, bike rental, tours etc. Really felt comfortable from the start. The rooms are as expected and there is water, tea, a kettle etc in the common areas for you to use whenever you need. There is also a fridge which was useful. The location is good - between the beach front and the town. directly opposite a big supermarket which was useful. Great price!!!

Wow, AMAZING! Very peaceful and relaxing. Lisa (host) really made us feel at home, with her kind and warm nature, not forgetting her tasty home cooked meals. Lisa was very helpful, booking taxis and our own river cruise of the back waters. Highly recommend if it’s Peace and Quiet you are looking for. Will definitely return one day.

Allwyn & Jency were the perfect hosts, they were super helpful and friendly. They informed us on things to do around the area and helped arrange them for us. They have bikes included so you can explore the village, and you can see how they make traditional food/dinner for free also. We seen the fishermen come in on the beach one morning was great to have local knowledge of these things. We were going to do tea plantation tours in vagamon hills but we didn't have time. The food and their team serving was out of this world, I added pics, they even catered for my allergy to gluten:) A real home from home will definitely return and recommend to friends.

Our host Pradeep was extremely kind and communicative. He really cared about us and checked we were happy with everything, also helping us to organise a taxi and a backwaters kayak tour, taking us to the bus stop himself. The highlight of the homestay was the incredible, plentiful Keralan food cooked by Pradeep’s mother-in-law, we couldn’t get enough of it. The home has a pretty garden and is also under 2 minutes walk to beautiful Marari beach. All this for extremely good value, thanks so much!

Everything went great, it was a wonderful experience. Nice, spacious room, close to the beach, has everything you need for convenience and comfort.
