The stay was good, we took the entire villa with affordable price. The staffs were so attentive towards and made us feel safe. It would be nice if the breakfast was warm.

Took this hotel option suggested by my friend Very good residence with all facilities. Rooms were comfortable with all required amenities. Staff were polite and responsible, neat and clean, breakfast good though mostly south Indian options. 10 min walkable distance from serenity beach good car parking facilities okeyish. I Will prefer to stay again

Having stayed at Kariappa House I can honestly say that I will certainly be back again. The staff are really very nice and helpful and Ramji was really nice and quite an interesting person. Not sure why an earlier guest did not like him. He went out of his way to help us. We met the owner Kakoli briefly. She was warm and friendly and invited us to stay back for Diwali celebration. The room was very clean and comfortable. Being a day before Diwali there were some cracker sounds but that was everywhere. Breakfast was excellent. We loved the in-house pets, Jazzy and the cats. The best feature was the pool. It was such a treat to have this lovely lap pool all to ourselves. The location is very close to the French Quarter (walking distance) but the approach is through some narrow roads which did not bother us. The Parking was very convenient. I will definitely be back for a longer stay.

This Homestay is a gem of a place located in a very special area only 20 min walk to beach side, about 30 min walk to the ashram or Tea Time coffee/ tea cafe. The manager and security guard are lovely ppl. As a solo female traveler I felt safe and comfy. I booked the small room which has a door leading to a balcony, where one can see the lighthouse at night and early wee morning, men playing cricket in the area leading to the port. Step onto Dr Ambedkar Rd go right and it’s a short walk to the beach, where locals fill up the streets for snacks and and a stroll. On the way stop by City Punjabi Dhaba for great meals, hygienic kitchen, and a Goti drink. Facing Dr Ambedkar Rd, cross the street left of the aquarium shop use gps to take you to center of White town not far from Mission St (Mission Kafe worth a visit) town (short cut) and you’ll go thru a very interesting area.
