IndiaWe visited Yelagiri for the first time during Mar '25. During search for accomodation, I was a bit confused about the rooms since the weather started to summer, should I book the ac or the non AC rooms.
While going through the climate, I observed even though it was summer beginning, the temperature at night would fall to 24 degrees. So, we had a thought to book Non AC as there was no need for an AC stay.
Out of all the options, I personally found this hotel "Yelagiri EGV Residency" quite amazing with its ratings both in Google as well as booking.com. So, we planned our trip to stay here.
I would like to appreciate the team for letting us have an extraordinary stay experience just because of 2 things listed below:
During the first day, we were welcomed by the residency manager ("Lakshya"). I am pretty sure that I booked a single bed room with 2 occupancy. But, we were provided with a family room of 3 occupancy (one king bed plus one single bed). The room was maintained clean and neat and it was spacious enough that we (me and my spouse) had our food sitting on the floor (the traditional way). So, as I mentioned the first thing which we were impressed was with the room which was provided. The rest rooms (western) were neat and provided with heater. We were even provided with a kettle upon request for drinking hot water.
The second thing which we loved the most was the food. Generally in most residency or hotel, we used to have food outside. It would be over expensive or at the least taste. But, here at "Yelagiri EGV Residency" we were asked if we needed food during our checkin. The manager informed us, they will be preparing food for their team (the manager and the supporting staffs) and incase if the guests requested for food, they will make preparations based on the count of people and it will be charged minimal.
