By the time I arrived in Selfoss, it was already Christmas Eve night, and the entire town was deserted. Fortunately, the restaurant beneath the hotel was still open, and I got to try some traditional Icelandic dishes. There were no staff in sight at the hotel, but the overall process and check-in experience were very satisfying. The hotel had parking spots both in front and behind, which was very convenient for someone like me traveling by rental car. Overall, the first day of my Iceland trip started with a delightful stay at this hotel!

We really enjoyed our stay at Gaukshof! 🌟 The property is full of charm, with a peaceful atmosphere and beautiful surroundings. Our room was clean, comfortable, and cozy , perfect for a relaxing night after exploring the area. The location is great, offering both tranquility and easy access to nearby sights. A very beautiful interior. Amazing surroundings between mountains and next to a lake. Much attention was paid to small details and aesthetics. Resembled to a small temple.
