This is a memorable place to stay. We received a lovely welcome from the owner of the property - it’s very much a family run home and the personal touch was great. The Schloss is set in the most beautiful gardens, lush with flowers and vegetation. It’s on the edge of the town, so airy and spacious. We had the entire attic at the top of the house, an enormous room with views on all sides. It would have been ideal for a family, but a huge space for just a couple! We had dinner at the Schloss in the evening; a limited menu always bodes well and the cooking was exceptional. We chose the beef medallions and the cooking was fantastic, really tender and succulent. My husband chose the family’s wine, a Merlot cabinet, which was delicious. He was sorry that it wasn’t available to buy at the local enoteca in Meran. Breakfast was excellent too - a lovely choice of cereals, cold meats, cheese and first-rate coffee, all very fresh

Excellent accomodation - a real value for the money. The host were flexible, helpful and understanding. The room was extra clean and tidy. Breakfast was good with boiled eggs on request (free of charge). There is a self service 24/7 "bar" (a fridge :)) and you can use a common fridge and kitchen for your own stuff. There is a nearby bus station (10 mins of walking) from where you can travel to Merano and Tirolo free of charge with the SüdTirol GuestPass that can be aquired from the reception.

Set in Schenna, 7.2 km from Touriseum museum, Pension-Appartement Mitterhofer features accommodation with a sauna, a hot tub and spa facilities.
