Everything was excellent, perfect (clean, new, modern..). I felt like at home. Barbara, she was very nice to us, always smiling and taking good care about us. I felt safe, very good location for trips, safe parking at the house.

Kuma was very friendly and helpful. It was all very straightforward. There was a fridge with water and cocke for us, as well as biscuits and coffee and tea. You have to take this place for what it is. It is not a luxury hotel; facilities are quite simple (like a pretty chilly bathroom without heating), and there are plenty of staircases to climb. But it is an absolutely adorable medieval castle, towering over a little village up in the hills, with amazing views and fantastic staff. The location is great for a little get-away and to experience northern Tuscany. Winding roads leading up to a cute village on a hill (depending on GPS system, your map can put you on a road with lots of hair-pin curves but decent width to meet cars, or a more straight road where meeting traffic becomes a nervous challenge). The village of Fosdinovo also has a great restaurant, the Quinta Terra. Very friendly staff and great atmosphere among stone vaults. Excellent country-side food that would easily compete with many of the better restaurants in Florence. The castle is a fantastic experience in Italian history and it's great to be able to freely walk around among its many rooms and up on its impressive fortification walls - daytime or nighttime. Sitting on one of the (shared) terraces for our own little "aperitif moment" was great. Our room was of good size, with a comfortable bed and a large radiator that gave a cozy warmth to the room in chilly April nights. The bathroom was as large as the room, simple but fully adequate for our needs. No heating there, so mornings were "fresh" :-) Ambra and her colleagues in the staff are just amazing! So welcoming, helpful and friendly. From Ambra's warm greeting, support, and guidance, to one of the other ladies who, off-hours and from her own apartment, shouted instructions for us which key to use when we clearly didn't manage to get in at night! :-) They all made us feel like family. They also served a delicious, home-cooked breakfast, with yoghurt, spreads, toast, ham and cheese, and home-baked apricot pie.

The accommodation is newly renovated and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Exceptionally clean, with excellent beds. The owner did not speak English, but we communicated very well with the help of a translator. 10 out of 10. Highly recommended.

Newly renovated appartments beautifully decorated comfortable bed. The owners were very helpful which was most appreciated. Lots of little extras were supplied such as tea/ coffee and yummy treats which we find rare in accommodation in Italy. The apartment was about a 20 min walk from the train station and had good bus connections and local shops - Great stay

Staying in il Giardino was great for me. I was there only for a night and I came with a motorcycle to see the surrounding small coastal cities. The room, I believe is a part of multi apartment building. It looked modern, new, clean. The bathroom had everything I needed and more. Shower gells, shampoo. I also found cotton swabs for ears, make up removal cotton swabs (that I did not need). In the fridge there was complimentary water, pear juice, various teas, coffee, snacks. All complimentary. I have no idea about the location, after a whole day on the road. The owner was extra helpful. He explained to me where to go, what to see. I made some nice sunset pictures and overall was satisfied with the service. I paid a bit more than other places on my journey, but I think the owner does go an extra mile. Also, I had a free parking space for my motorcycle.

Very clean and comfortable room, the check-in is online. Close to the center. The doors are being opened distantly from your phone. Unfortunately there were no spots in the nearest parking, but we left the car on Europa parking, as the management of the apartment recommended. The breakfast is modest but good at the cafe across the road.
