It really was the highlight of my trip to Japan. The beauty and serenity of the house, cute little garden, very stylish building and room interiors and the host - everything was magnificent. I could sit and relax in my room for hours and simply enjoy the morning light pouring in through the windows. The easiest 10/10 I have ever given.

I had an amazing stay! The hosts are absolutely lovely, so friendly and always ready to help with anything. The breakfast was the highlight, so delicious that I ordered it for two consecutive days! The room was spotless and very comfortable, I enjoyed a lot sleeping on a tatami! Everything exceeded my expectations, truly my best stay so far. I will definitely come back again🤍

I found the place great for exploring Kanazawa: you get an entire traditional Japanese house for yourself, in a quiet place despite being 20 minutes by foot from Kenroku-en garden and the castle, and at a very competitive price. It was extremely clean and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Peaceful and stunning location. Staff were kind and helpful. Thank you! Public transport wasn't great but they lent me a bicycle which got me everywhere and anytime.

Amazing appartement! very cosy and unique, with its own little sauna and outdoor bath! Everything was clean and the beds were very confortable. The host was also very helpfull and easy to comunicate with.

It was super close to many attractions in the area, and plenty of places to eat nearby, which was good as it was raining for my trip in Kanazawa. The place was very spacious and would be better used for a long stay. They provided slippers, umbrellas, basic spices, tea, coffee, and anything you might need. well worth the amount

Lovely guesthouse close to Higashi Chaya. It is run by an older couple who live on site and there are two or three guest rooms and an adorable Shiba Inu living in the house. I had the smallest room on the ground floor, which was incredibly cheap. Just a few tatami, a small table, a low chair, hooks for clothes. An aircon/heater that worked very well. Natural day light. For me, who goes out sightseeing, that was more than enough. There is also a large kitchen/ living room you are free to use, laundry facilities. All bathrooms are shared and are spick-and-span. The hosts are super friendly and speak English. Buses for the sights are close by, one bus stop basically in front of the house, another 300m away. Also, there are two really great onsen. Yamato Onsen is maybe 200m away and has muddy brown lovely onsen water. Kuwana Yu is about 500m and has fewer onsen baths but a sauna. Both are vintage Showa era public baths, basic but super clean, bring your own towel.
