I really appreciate the hosts and the location of the hostel. I came here to have a rest in my trip who was for this moment to stressful for me and it was the PERFECT place for that. Fare away from cities, but near mountains and beautiful countryside. A lot of BEAUTIFUL Onsen around, you can enjoy this experience here. You can by food at the convenience store nearby the hostel like 3min by foot. The owners where AMAZING, really helpful and loving. I really enjoy our meetings, I really wish to see them again. There are doing so well with there hostel, if you need anything they are here for you. It's perfect to live an authentic experience. Peaceful and full of love 🌄🗻 I actually were abble to borrow a car with the help of the owner (for 5000yen for one day at this moment), so it allow me to go around and really enjoyed the beauty of the space around ! Perfect experience 🙏🤠 I would definitely come back the next time I'll come in Hokkaidō. No hesitation.

I think one of the most memorable thing is their breakfast. It’s just so good! Unlike other hotels, this place gave us a feel of “home.” We also love the environment, the garden is eye catching. I strongly recommend people to come and live here!

The staff is really friendly and the whole proberty is really clean. There is a common room with a big fridge and a microwave. There is also tea and coffee for free. The room is small but comfortable an really clean. We really enjoyed our stay there and can highly recommended.

" A must experience place in Hokkaido". We had no idea what was ahead of us when we booked a stay at "one and only". We were scrolling through places to stay nearby/on the way to asahidake, and came across this affordable place, and thought it looked nice. What a lucky find. As we arrived, the host had lit up the fireplace, the front room was nice and warm and cozy. Two bedrooms, and a living room with an extra bed, was ready for us. Comfortable beds and great atmosphere. What we was about to realize, was that this special place also came with an excellent chef. We were served a delicious 7 course meal made entirely of local ingredients. The dishes were of Michelin quality at an affordable cost. To top it off, the whole experience was as we sat in this beautiful kitchen as the hosts cooked and served us with tastefully seasoned creations. Everything made from scratch. This was a culinary experience you’ll have to pay top dollar for in the city. Breakfast next morning was delicious and served with the same kind of passion. We were mesmerized by the delicious food and hospitality of the hosts and can’t wait to get back. We highly recommend visiting "one and only", either for a total package or just to satisfy your needs to enjoy a great meal. Best food experience on our trip to Japan this time. The owner, Tetsu-san, is incredibly helpful. Although he is a little reserved, he goes above and beyond to serve your needs if you ask. He works hard to keep the place clean and tidy. He also has a lot of local knowledge of the skiing around Central Hokkaido, and is keen to chat if you put in the effort. The hostel was built by the owner and has a very homely atmosphere. The kitchen facilities are good and there is free cereal and coffee for breakfast. Ski rental (including backcountry gear) is available, and you can also get a basic waxing service.
