Great location and a very nice traditional Japanese home in the small town of Koza. The kind proprietor met us at the property. I recommend that you talk to the owner of the little tourist shop at the train station. He will rent you a bicycle and give you information about the area. Don't miss seeing Takinohai, which is a spectacular spot up river and easy to get to by local bus.

Couldn't have asked for a better place where to finish the Kumano Kodo! Amazing guest house and fabulous host. Room was big and futon very comfortable. Toilet and shower clean and nice. Washing and drying machine and kitchen well equipped. Great plus to have the bikes!!

What a great stay! Traveling with 2 teenage boys, we have enjoyed our 2-night stay very much. The host was exceptionally nice and she even speaks a little english. The view from the living room is superb and it has been great to sleep to the sound of the waves, the wind and the ocean. We all 3 slept very well on the futons in the traditional tatami room. And then the breakfast ... mad with much love in "continental" / western style with truly tasty fruits (kiwi, oranges, apples)...

Such a wonderful place!! The hospitality, warmth and the heart which was put into every detail from Lacome was incredible. I really enjoyed my stay and would totally recommend it. I was able to have a dinner with the host and two guests in the shared kitchen which was so nice. I felt really welcomed!🫶
