The building was beautiful and we had it to ourselves. The kitchen was available for our use and was well stocked. We enjoyed exploring the adjacent shrine and ancient tree.

It was very clean, well organized and well equipped. I didn't miss anything. There were even cup ramen for a small fee in the kitchen and rice and currys, which was handy as there is basically no food around if you arrive late.

My dad and I were walking the Ohechi route of the Komono Kodo. This place is a very short walk away from the train station, so it was very easy access for us after finishing our walk to Mirozu Station. The property was spotlessly clean. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, offering advice. There are a number of additional items available if you need for very cheap(washing machine, coffee machine, face masks etc). The kitchen was well stocked in order to cook a nice meal or relax with a cup of coffee in the morning. The road side station down the road had lots of sweet and gifts to buy. And the onsen at the Fairfield was well worth a visit. Gorgeous views and sounds of the ocean while soaking in an indoor/outdoor onsen.

The house is welcoming, cozy and spacious. Huge kitchen, living room and 3 bedrooms. The beds are Japanese style, but the thick, memory foam, super-comfortable variety. Feels like a family home, you're staying for a holiday. Maru is very responsive, kind and a wonderful host.
