Imagine the Perfect Guesthouse and this is Guesthouse Re-Spect, the best Guesthouse I've ever stayed in and great value for money. The owner has thought about every single little detail to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The Guesthouse itself is a lovely open-plan spacious building, with excellent social areas and a terrace. The facilities and utilities are extremely high quality and it's obvious no expense has been spared. Free; laundry, use of bikes, tea and very high quality coffee. Electric bikes are very reasonably priced. The owner himself is incredibly friendly and helpful, and will go above and beyond to help you. Sunday nights have a super fun event which is dinner, drinks and plenty of chatting and laughter with the locals. I look forward to staying here again.

A neat, clean and enthusiastic host. You can ride a bike to the lighthouse and the coast. It's also friendly for people who don't have a car. Japanese houses are not soundproof, so it may not be suitable for you to live here if you are sensitive to sound. It makes me feel at home. I will come back next time.❤️

We had an amazing stay. The house was clean and well prepared, there are comfortable beds. It is very close to the Maehama Beach which is wonderful. We also experienced lovely encounter with the family living in the house. Even though, there was a language barrier (Japanese/English), we managed to communicate smoothly and also got some amazing recommendations regarding the island. Highly recommended!

Our family stayed at Guest House Maui on the beautiful Miyakojima island in July-August 2023. Incredible hospitality, kindness, and generosity reign in this place thanks to the owner Saito san, former professional board-surfing athlete, and his partner Haru san. The property has a relaxed Hawaiian feel to it. The rooms are comfortable and homey. There is a kitchen and a cozy common area. Everything is pristine clean. Infrastructure wise, Maui has everything: car rentals, parking, snorkelling gear, laundry, emergency food supplies, good advice about local restaurants, snorkelling spots, etc. Imgya Marine Garden is literally a 5 min walk from the guesthouse. We do not speak Japanese but Google Translate helped overcome the language barrier - there was no issue whatsoever. Also, pre-travel communication with Maui was excellent. We are forever grateful to Saito san and Haru san for the memorable days we spent together at Maui. We miss you!

Max was really nice and really helpfull. There is a full equiped kitchen available and the room was confortable. Wifi ok and the place is closed to really amazing beaches by car.
