The absolute loveliest stay I’ve had in Japan. What a delight the hosts are - Glenda is an absolute gem and the loveliest. She used to tour around Japan as a singer! If you’re lucky enough, you can get her to sing a bit for you. Her husband is an incredibly talented chef and cooked us a huge and wonderful dinner - probably the best food I’ve had in Japan. Strong recommend!

The accomodation in the old Machiya guest house was amazing. The traditional house worth the stay in Kanazawa. It is close to the garden and castle as well as bus stops. The owner was very nice and helpful. I would love to come again, if I ever have a chance.

We loved the big ryokan-style room, the shower and toilets were very close to the room and incredibly clean. The location is perfect, a short walk from the samurai quarter and close to the center. The owners are incredibly nice and the food is excellent. A great place in Kanazawa!
