We absolutely loved staying at this hotel for four nights. The location is ideal for skiing, the rooms are spacious, and the staff are exceptionally kind and thoughtful.

Extremely close to the slopes and bus across to Nozawa. Miki, the host, is exceptionally lovely and helped us with all of our needs. The rooms are clean, with comfortable Japanese futons to sleep on. The heaters worked so well I had to turn them off after an hour or so. Wifi is fast and works well. I highly recommend breakfast and dinner!

Despite the heavy snowstorm disrupting transportation, they went above and beyond to assist us, ensuring we reached our destination smoothly. By far our favourite stay in Japan! The room and facilities were good, but the reason the stay was so great was the owners, who really went out of their way to make us feel at home with fantastic food, helping us get to and from the piste, giving us great tips and generally being fantastic hosts. We'll definitely come here again if we're heading back to Madarao in the future.
