I was very fortunate to be able to reserve this room. As the name suggests, it is a converted warehouse, but the space inside is very spacious and comfortable, and up to four people should be able to relax. The owner of the house was very warm, and even made a special trip to pick us up at the station, and provided information including restaurants, attractions, etc., which was very helpful for our trip.

The recently renovated ゲストハウス樹 is set in Shingu, near Shingu Castle Ruins Park and Kumano Hayatama Taisha.

It was the first time I had stayed in a guest house style accommodation and I was very very impressed with the level of detail. It felt like I was at home. The kitchen was very well set and the lovely host had even put my name to welcome me in a card at my door that was very impressive. We arrived early around 12 noon and we were able to drop our bags and at that time so that was really helpful.

The house is beautiful. The thought that has been put into everything you could possibly need is impressive. Storage, kitchen appliances, crockery, washing machine and drying etc etc. All fantastic. Koko was lovely - welcoming, informative, and the information provided was great. The house is in a great location for exploring the Kumano Kodo, and for restaurants and shopping.

The most beautiful japanese style bedroom I stayed in. Furnished with a low table and a seating pillow, it almost felt like an entire Tina flat. The common room downstairs also looked great! All in all a wonderful guesthouse with a really authentic atmosphere to it!
