From communications prior to our arrival to meeting our host and the entire stay, we had a wonderful experience! The kitchen is large and fully stocked, they have a washer and dryer, and the rooms were exactly as listed. Our host was courteous and the staff would keep the guest house super clean. They even gave us a bottle of fresh squeezed locally farmed mandarin juice, which was delicious.

The owner is the soul of hospitality. The place is spotless and the bed is the most comfortable I’ve slept in so far while walking the Kumano Kodo. Plus, right across the street of a real supermarket so great location.

My family and I liked how spacious, convenient and warm welcoming our host was! The location was few minutes walking distance to local restaurants and family mart. It was also approximately 8 minutes from Kumano Hayatama Taisha and in front of the bus stop heading towards to Nachi. Our host, Sasaki-san, was also kind to give us an introduction to the place along with offering free icecream, beer and sake! Overall we recommend this place!

Host was incredibly welcoming and helpful. He searched and found information for us and even offered to help us make reservations for activities. We stayed here during the winter, but the place was warm and comfortable. It had everything we needed plus free condiments. We would love to stay here again!

Cafe next door is fabulous, beautiful rooms, very comfortable and clean, extremely well located across from Taisha, tastefully decorated in classic Japanese style, has very nice living room and kitchen area that encourages social interaction

Piko is the most hospitable guest house I have ever visited. Yuki San came to take me from the station as I arrived late. She is the sweetest person. Moreover, I had unforgetable time in Yuki's San Izakaya where her mother, former geisha, played taiko and we had lovely karaoke all together. Do not miss out on such oportunity and come to Pico! I should also mention that it is very conveniently located near key attractions and my dear host gave me recommendations for shops and antiques. The flat is spacious and you will have everything you need.
