The hosts were extremely kind and accomodating. They had wonderful recommendations and drove us to one of the onsen nearby. We shared a lovely home cooked dinner and breakfast and despite our lack of Japanese were able to have interesting conversations. Would highly recommend.

Guesthouse Sapmi is a cozy lodge near Kurohime Kogen and a close drive to Myoko Kogen and Lake Nojiri. The rooms are comfortable and the shared kitchen has all your needs if you decide to cook. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful with local information. I look forward to staying there again!

Food!!!! I am very happy that I found this place. The rooms are somewhat basic but more than sufficient for a ski trip. It’s within walking distance of the slopes but still the hosts will drive you back and forth. The hosts are very hospitable and the lady speaks good English. My favorite part was the food, the breakfast was very diverse and the dinner was another level, some of the best meals I had in Japan. I think it’s a restaurant because one night people that didn’t stay at the lodge came to have dinner, but they don’t advertise. I highly recommend this place!
