Our family traveled to Naoshima and then to this little island, and it was truly a unique and unforgettable experience—one of those once-in-a-lifetime adventures. The accommodation was comfortable and charming, providing a perfect place to relax. Our host was incredible, sharing not only his knowledge but also his heart, making us feel completely at ease and genuinely welcomed. Thanks to him, we had an amazing and enriching stay. One of the highlights was spotting the shy and elusive tanuki (Japanese raccoon dogs), a rare and special sight. If you’re looking for an experience off the typical tourist trail, we highly recommend staying here!

Quiet and clean place. The owners, who were extremely kind, comes everyday to clean and collect payments in cash. Great value for money.

The house was incredible, the woman who rents it was super nice and did an incredible job furnishing the flat and making the architecture of the house in itself. She was super nice and we had a great time sleeping in the Japanese spirit.

Very charming and beautiful guest house, but we were especially very happy with our host Yuki. She picked up our HEAVY luggage from the station so we could go to the art islands immediately after arriving in Tamano and she gave some really helpful advice for our itenary. Some earplugs (provided in the room) are helpful as there are paper walls seperating the rooms, but for us that was part of the charm. Breakfast was also nice. Would definately recommend this place!

Nice warm sitting room to use. Yuki was a great host and made a very good breakfast. Brisk 15 minute walk to the station in the morning. Yuki also made a restaurant reservation for us and drove us to it. Downstairs rooms are divided by traditional Japanese paper walls.
