The location is great - close to 2 very well connected subway stations with connected malls, plenty of other shops and restaurants are also very close. The provided manual and instructions were very clear and easy to follow with pictures on point. Very good wifi. The host (Kasuki) has left a welcome card on my mother language which was exceptionally sweet and thoughtful. Also came at the very beginning to greet us and make sure we understood everything and have settled well. Offered several times to help us with transport when he was near the building on rainy days and provided us with tips and advices for events that were happening during our stay. Exceptional and very appreciated care, thank you, Kasuki. Since it is Tokyo and everything is very close to each other, there were provided ear plugs for more sensitive to noise people - for us the noise was from the train was not a problem. My friend loved the opportunity to take long and relaxing baths in the japanese bath. Would definitely book again if I have a stay in Tokyo.

I stayed at this hostel before and came back because I loved it so much. The staff is lovely and very kind, the house where you sleep has a cozy rustic feel to it. The beds are comfortable and the accommodation has everything you need (towels, hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, well equipped kitchen). You can do laundry for a small additional cost as well as rent a bike and store luggage for a few days. The location is nice if you are coming from Narita and is very close to Ueno park. Couldn’t think of a better place to start our vacation in Japan. ありがとうございます！

Staying at this traditional ryokan was wonderful. My room had a fantastic view of the beautiful Japanese garden, and there was a seating area in my room where you can sit and view the beautiful garden and contemplate with a green tea. The hotel owners Mr and Mrs Ito made the entire experience even better. Nothing was too much and they were very welcoming. The breakfast in the morning was delicious. The location is good. It is just a 15mins walk to nearest metro station (Akabane) but Mr Ito also was happy to pick me up and drop me off at the station. I can’t recommend this hotel enough. A gem of a hotel.

The welcome and consierge service were both exceptional. By far the best out of our 26 days’ stay in Japan. The facility itself is a tasteful mix of tradition and modernity with attention to detail. The apartment is excellent. Everything you need is there. The owners are so helpful and accommodating. They have thought of all the little details. Looks like your in the suburbs but everything is so close. Supermarket, seven eleven and the station all within 10mins walk. It was our favourite place that we stayed. Highly recommend 👌

The owners were absolutely lovely and very accommodating, and during both of my stays I was welcomed with warmth and kindness. They even helped me out by keeping one of my suitcases for a day, and they prepared delicious breakfasts for me. We loved out stay at Kitazawa Cosy House, very spacious, quiet and clean with all the amenities we needed. Host Amy was friendly and we felt welcomed. Great location and an easy walk to the heart of Kitazawa for shopping, great cafes and restaurants. Easy walk to the Odakyu (Shinjuku) and Keio (Shibuya/Kichijoji) lines for transportation throughout Tokyo. We came back to Kitazawa our last day in Tokyo for the Shimokitazawa Music Festival. What a great way to end our vacation!
