We loved our short stay at Bilin Villa, Ahangama. We were meant to stay nearby, but our booking was cancelled at the last minute. We were so glad to find Bilin Villa not far away, as the family who owns it immediately came to let us in (they also brought us a cold Coke and a bottle of water each). We were amazed by the quality of the Villa and the compound that surrounds it. They must have put lots of time and money into it, because it felt way too fancy for us. Also, after a very peaceful night, we woke up to find 2 coconuts waiting outside our room, ready to drink. We felt so grateful for our stay and wish we had more time to enjoy it.

The host was very helpful and flexible with everything. The room with AC exceeded my expectations! The room without AC had a fan which was very nice. I stayed several nights and that’s the reason to that I stayed in different rooms. Overall my experience was very good and would come back!

I got a room upgrade when I checked in. The room was spacious and mold free. It is beautifully designed and really different than other rooms in the area. Also very clean. Most importantly, it felt like being part of a family. I will remember the family dinners.

You enter through a wonderfully arranged garden on your terrace, where you can enjoy your delicious breakfast. You can choose between an international breakfast and a traditional one, I recommend to try both. The host prepares everything with so much love and is very flexible, when it comes to the time. In addition there is tea and coffee and a kettle to your disposal. The room is very modern and has an excellent AC. The bed was comfy and everything was very clean. I can recommend this accommodation one thousand percent. The communication over WhatsApp and in English was perfect. I was sick for two days and the hosts look d out for me and were very sweet. I felt very seafe the whole stay as a female solo traveler. Thank you so much, hopefully see you soon 🩷

I truly loved everything about this hotel. I had the chance to meet the host and his entire family. The host was so welcoming and kind. I was able to talk a lot with them, even as soon as I arrived, as we discussed the history of Sri Lanka. A bit of culture did me good, especially since I love learning new things. Moreover, the host and his family even let me taste some Sri Lankan specialties, especially for breakfast, and it was both fascinating and delicious! And all of this was offered for free. On top of that, the host took me on his scooter to buy new flip-flops since he knew a good store. He also took me to Cargills, to the beach, and many other places! It was an incredible and enriching experience, and you can tell it all came from the heart! Thank you so much for this experience—I highly recommend it, and I definitely plan to come back!

The location is perfect! Just by the sea and the main high street with all the cafes, workout places etc. The family are lovely - i hope to see them again! Took very good care of me.

The place is really good and highly recommended to visit. The couple who owns it is very friendly and allowed us to enjoy our vacation just the way we wanted — comfortable and relaxing. We will definitely visit them again.
