Parasol Dore is a gorgeous gem of a villa, situated on a small and quiet beach near Dickwella. We loved the location, very quiet but within walking or short tuk-tuk distance to Dickwella and Hiriketiya when we felt like “opting in” to those other places. Most of all we loved the staff - everyone - made us feel at home in ways we could never have expected! We are so grateful we could stay here.

Definitely this is the best play we’ve been so far. It’s really closed to te beach, the bedroom is comfortable, clean and wide. But most of all, the owners are so kind and they really make you feel like home.

This is a very nice place. I would describe it as a bed & breakfast (not sure what it's labelled as on Booking). The owner lives in a separate house and guests stay in a new house with three or four rooms. Each room has a separate bathroom. It's all very roomy and the plave has a nice garden. It's also clean and the style is somewhat colonial with dark tree furniture. Wifi is OK but not great and that's the case wherever you go on Sri Lanka. I could do some work without problem and my daughter could look at Netflix. So, it's ok. The owner is very helpful and friendly and they have a washing service. The location is off Dikwella main street so it's quiet and it takes 5-10 minutes to walk to the beach across the main street and through some deserted plots. Since Surf Bay Villa is in the eastern end of Dikwella it's also close to Hiriketiya beach. Its possible to walk the distance but I recommend using a tuc tuc. This beach is nicer than the beach in Dikwella. Surf Bay Villa is definitely a clean, nice and friendly place to stay!

Stayed at La Luna, and honestly, it was a solid experience. Rooms were super clean, the bathroom was spacious and actually looked nice (not like some sketchy afterthought). Hot water ran forever, just make sure you switch on the geyser when you check in so you’re not waiting around. Security on the premises gave me peace of mind, and there’s even a little skate area which was cool. Beach is just a short walk away, so location-wise it’s spot on. For the price, this was a great deal. Overall, good stay and I’d go back.

Ranjit and his team were amazing, nothing was too much problem, showers hot, 3 minutes walk from the surf beach and access anything else via the beach, nice quiet garden positioned, brand new apartment such every suggestion was taken onboard immediately,well done guys!!

Wonderful stay at Noble Nest, perfectly situated only a short walk from everywhere whilst tucked away slightly at the end of a lovely little road with a few local houses. Room was perfect, nice bathroom, comfy bed, nice & clean, A/C worked great! Just all round no complaints whatsoever 🙏🏼

I had a great stay! The room was very clean and comfortable. The whole house is well maintained and has a warm atmosphere. The host is extremely friendly and helpful – he made me feel very welcome. I can highly recommend this place!
