This was a last minute booking but one of the loveliest places we stayed. Our stay was only for one evening but that was enough to feel like part of the family. Aroshina is always smiling. Such a lovely person. We mainly went there for the cooking class which was great. We cooked, chatted and laughed for hours. Definately hope to return one day soon! The beds and pillows were really comfy and quiet A/C.

If you're looking for a quiet location, this is the right place... it' away from the hustle and bustle but it's only a 5 min tuk tuk ride from the town centre. I had a wonderful stay at Small House Boutique Guest House in Galle. The place is absolutely charming — a cute, cozy house with beautiful décor and such a peaceful vibe. Everything! This hotel is an oasis in the heart of Galle Fort. It is absolutely beautiful with antiques and art throughout whilst also feeling very homely and comfortable. It was our last stop on a three week trip and definitely the highlight in terms of accommodation. The pool is perfect for a dip and is surrounded by greenery to keep it cool in the heat of the day. Next to the pool is a beautiful covered area with comfy seating to lounge on when you need a break from Galle Fort and the heat. This is also where breakfast is served at a communal table meaning you often get to meet other guests and share travel stories- everyone we met was lovely! Only 4 rooms so a max of 8 people in total. The rooms are not huge but big enough and a very comfortable bed and again decorated beautifully. The staff are so accommodating. We arrived early and they held our bags and allowed an early check in and also allowed us to stay late on our last day as we had a late flight. Location is perfect. One street back from Peddlars and close to everything. Very safe and friendly area. Today they brought out some bread so we could feed the monkeys in the courtyard trees and they came and ate from our hands! Breakfast was delicious and fantastic service.
