Our stay in the Lagoon Inn was wonderful. The Reviews telling about the great hospitality and the good (local) food are right. (Even our kids enjoyed it!). Both are found here at the Lagoon inn. The rooms were clean, cool and well maintained. And the location is stunning. Furthermore we were very pleased with the Safari that we booked here at the Lagoon inn. We recommend this Safari to all who come to Bundala. (https://bundala-national-park-safari-kamal.business.site/) We saw crocodiles, spotted deer, lizards, goanna, monkeys, waterbuffelo and many birds, (pelicans, hunting eagles, nest with young fish Eagle, painted Stork, Blue tailed bee eater, Kingfisher, etc...)

We had a fantastic stay. We arrived and were warmly welcomed. Our room was ready and it looked great. We had a room with sea view. We were immediately offered a beer on arrival and in the evening the host prepared fresh fish, shrimps, chips and rice for us. One of the best dishes we've had in Sri Lanka. The accommodation is located directly at sea, so you have a lot of peace here. The host is very helpful and will make your stay comfortable.

This is a wonderful place to stay; fantastic if you are on a budget and understand the facilities are basic. There is electricity, warm water and a comfortable bed...in a fabulous location with fabulous hosts. You will see an array of wildlife (porcupine, bats, crocs, elephants and exotic birds). Danoushka and Anousha were warm, welcoming and kind. We loved our stay here and felt part of nature. Anousha cooks delicious Sri Lankan food and Danoushka is knowledgeable about the local area; We went on a tuk tuk drive with him to see various temples and sites of historic importance - a highlight of our stay in Sri Lanka. My husband also did an early morning bird spotting safari on the back of a motor bike which enabled him to take some close shots of the abundant bird life. Jungle cabin gave us the experience of "real" Sri Lanka and, as a middle aged couple, it was an absolute pleasure to spend time with the hosts and enjoy their home. We would not hesitate to recommend this as a rustic place to stay...make the most of Danoushka's local and wildlife knowledge and...enjoy the tranquility.

Incredible value for money, lovely pool and spacious room with a balcony and even bean bags. The pool is divine and the pool furniture is beautiful. Close to stunning beach. Definitely recommend. One of thr nicest places we stayed and pretty cheap.

We had an amazing stay thanks to our incredibly kind and helpful host! He went above and beyond to make our visit unforgettable. He organized a fantastic safari for us and even took us on a special night trip to see bats and crocodiles with flashlights. On top of that, he gave us a tuk-tuk ride and offered transport to our next destinations, which was very thoughtful and convenient. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, and our room was very good – clean, comfortable, and with excellent air conditioning. The host’s positive attitude and genuine care for his guests truly made the difference. His hospitality deserves all the recognition! I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.
