What an amazing stay. We had the room that was orientated to the east and every morning we could see the amazing sunrise. The balcony was spectacular, we really liked to have breakfast there. The room was big and very cute and tidy. We definitely recommend this place.

The hosts were super friendly and helpful, absolutely lovely people. The food was amazing and freshly cooked to order. Saman was there for us throughout the stay and even gave us a lift into town when we needed it. Rooms were spacious and clean, balconies have stunning views of the valley. Absolutely recommend!

The owner Kalai is so lovely and helpful. The place is really clean and there is a kettle with free tea and water provided. It’s a really nice view from the property and just a short walk to a different viewpoints, one in particular about 1km from the property was great for sunrise! If you enjoy hiking, you can join sections of the pekoe trail from here and there is a nice restaurant a short walk away which has a good selection and is reasonably priced. Very relaxing! We had the most perfect two nights at Hapu Tales. Muni goes above and beyond as a host, and her team put so much effort into making it a relaxing and comfortable place to stay; every detail has been thought of and the team were so helpful and friendly, we really felt like we were staying with friends. We had all of our meals in and the food was brilliant, authentic Sri Lankan cuisine with lots of flavour. The location is brilliant for exploring the beautiful surrounding sites but definitely make sure you stay long enough to take the time to relax by the pool or on the terrace with the breathtaking views. We stayed two nights and were sad to leave - it’s the perfect place to recharge and relax.

This was the best place I stayed in Sri Lanka. I was initially supposed to stay 1 but I changed for 2 nights. If you like quiet place but sharing experience with the host family and easy option to discover the surroundings it is the place to go.

What a gorgeous family run hotel. So clean and well organised. And very easy to locate too. Very comfortable beds with super warm blankets for the chilly night air. Such cold misty mountain air was pure delight after the heat of the coastal area. We all loved our stay and will return for sure. Perfect location with easy free parking on site. Our room was spacious with 2 large double beds and a perfect clear view of the railway line. We greatly enjoyed watching the train pass by ! Delicious food available in the large restaurant upstairs. Tea served on arrival was lovely !
