We LOVED Chami's place - first off, Chami the owner is a legend, well connected in town, and very personable. Before checking in, they made us tea and talked to us which was great. They gave us the best tree house on the property and lots of advice. There is jungle all around, train tracks, close to town, great breakfast, and very cute property with dogs/monkeys around. Just a cute little place.

L&D Lodge is located just 328 feet from the Hikkaduwa Beach. Free WiFi access is available in the public areas of the property. It provides a 24-hour front desk for the convenience of the guests.

Wow, this place and family are nice! I booked last minute, and was warmly greeted with a beverage, and a clean, bright modern room in a beautiful house. The room had a mini fridge, tea kettle, and even slippers for the shower, it felt like a hotel. The family is so kind, provided breakfast and went out of their way to make me comfortable and even provided some transportation! The location was close to the downtown and the beach. Perfect for the solo traveler or a romantic evening to stay. Amazing value from a very kind family!
