So many things to love about this place! Our family of four (2 kids; 5yo and 3yo) stayed for 10 days in the family room (with 2 big beds) and we had the most amazing time. The location is second to none - just a few minutes walk to the beach and a few minutes further to all the best cafes and restaurants. Nadeeka and her husband are incredibly kind and were wonderful hosts, always ready to help with anything we needed. They helped us with surfboard rental, tuk tuk rental, airport transfers...even little things like letting us dry our towels on the main washing lines and showing us local shortcuts. The room was much bigger than we expected, and super comfortable. We barely used the AC and although the beds are fitted with mosquito nets, we barely needed to use them which was a pleasant surprise. There are mosquitos and other creepy crawlies outside though. We also loved the semi-outdoor bathroom and having a small kitchen attached to the room just made life easier (the cafe was not opened yet while we were there). Overall we loved our stay at Jungle Escape and will definitely be back!

Such a lovely stay. It felt like home! I had a stay for 3 nights and then took another 4 nights, because I really loved it. Located at a deadend up on the hill, so there is no one passing by. Perfect when you want to stay away from turbulent Hiriketiya beach A few minutes walk to the beach.

We booked this place for 1 night, but then extended for another 4 nights. We liked our stay and Hiriketiya that much we changed our plan (even this is my 14th trip to Sri Lanka) — Excellent value for money. Similar conditions in the area are for much higher cost. — Three different beaches are available in area: Nilwella - a wild rocky beach, Hiriketiya - a beach for surfers, Dikwella - long beach with tall palm trees and the most beautiful Instagram landscape. Also just in a 2-minute walk away from the Wilson’s place there is a small rocky bay, where you can perfectly meditate in the morning. — Colonial-style newly built house located in a quiet area very far traffic noise, except for the bakery men in the morning or in the evening (who deliver bread and buns, notifying people with a special melody).So I became a bun lover. — Specious rooms with a perfect design. Lots of outlets. Even 2 in a bathroom. All rooms with a beautiful view of the garden. You will definitely give an extra point to bed, if you are tall. — Host Rumesh and his family are very nice and unobtrusive people. Rumesh is always in person or via whatsapp ready to help on any issue. Must try tip: breakfast at Bahia, dinner at Smoke & Bitters, cocktails at Ivy, party at Dots. Cheaper but quality food option: Hiriketiya Seafood restaurant.

The service is great, everyone is super friendly and it was so easy with our baby as well. The bungalow was spacious for a family of 3, and the pool is perfect. The whole setup is super nicer, colorful and bright with space to hang out in the day.

The places is very close to the beach so you can literally pick the surf board, and walk towards it.The breakfast - Brunch concept is amazing. The Yoga sessions are included in the rooms stay and is a great workout post surfing. The staff are very courteous and warm. They are available even post working hours if there's any help required. Great stay.

The location was perfect, just a short walk from the beach. The hosts were extremely kind, welcoming, and helpful, greeting us with a delicious fresh fruit smoothie as a welcome drink. The room was spacious, very clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Beautiful spot. Area the house is in is currently being built but no noise at all from construction. Lovely family who own the place and go above and beyond to help you. About a 10 min walk to the main centre of town. It’s nice being a little way out of the hustle. Very clean rooms and new amenities. Would definitely stay again!
