He took us on tours to the most interesting places in Kandy, sharing his local insights and making us feel at home. Jay's location was perfect and it had such a beautiful view. The room is equipped with everything you need and Jay is a pleasant and likeable host. Jay arranged a tasty breakfast for us with two options: Sri Lankan or continental. Apart from that, Jay was available on WhatsApp if we had any questions or requests. I definitely recommend this place if you have a personal driver or a tuk tuk, The location is close to the Kandy Sacred Tooth Temple.

We had a great time at the Tenthola. We felt very comfortable. The room and also the terrace - with a really great view - have been super clean. The host offered us a welcome - drink and the breakfast was great! The host also had many recommendations for what to do in and around Kandy. We can highly recommend this accomodation!

    It's a very very charming boutique hotel. It has an Italian design. The manager speaks good English and knows what hospitality is. He organised everything for us, was genuine interested and made us feel very welcome. The breakfast is also good. And it's easy in this hotel to also meet other travellers (with families). The views from the hotel are stunning, it's a little bit out of the city center but therefore also nice and quiet.

    The lake view and quiet location are delightful in the morning. The guest house thrives primarily due to its two fantastic hosts, who took excellent care of me. Enjoying a beer and discussing politics with them was a warm and welcoming experience. The recommended dance show is truly worth attending, even though the audience is predominantly white.

    Our two hosts were remarkably friendly, attentive and helpful. While the accommodation is located on the outskirts of Kandy (and is thus very quiet - a big plus in our opinion), the city centre and all the major sights are easily reachable by tuktuk. Our corner room with a balcony had a beautiful view over the river and the surrounding countryside. The breakfast - especially the fresh fruit - was delicious, varied and more than we could eat.
