it is one of the best accommodations! The owners are great, you feel at home, they are helpful with everything, they are caring, they give advice in everything, they help, they ask where you are going, they recommend what is good, they recommend the type of transport. I wasn't feeling well, they brought me tea for my stomach, they asked if I needed medicine. the owners are great! the accommodation is wonderful, it's a big apartment with a kitchen, you can cook for yourself, do your laundry, everything is clean.

We liked everything! Easy to find, near to the restorants. The whole place is extraordinary clean. Comfortable beds, air condition, coffee and tea available at the room. Rich breakfast with fresh juice and fruit. Very nice hosts, we have been welcomed with a bottle of cold water and because our flight was late at the evening they have kept our luggage free of charge after checking out. They offer also transfer to the airport. I would highly recommend this place to anyone searching for stay in Negombo!

Very big and comfortable bed. Room spacious with good lightning. You have a desk and wardrobe to keep your stuff in. Big bathroom with hot shower. The outside area is very clean and quiet. Perfect for your morning coffee. Kitchen available to all for cooking your breakfast. Also washing machine available (extra fee). It's close to the airport so it's great after your flight and before your flight as we did 😍 Staff very nice and welcoming. If you land in Colombo you should choose this one!

I stayed here for a few nights on either side of my trip and am so grateful for the amazing people who run this place. The hosts are very friendly and go out of their way to make sure your stay is comfortable and your trip runs smooth. Communication was excellent, rooms are comfortable and clean and the breakfast was fantastic. Even when I needed to make changes to my booking, the host made sure that everything was taken care of. I also appreciated the easy transfer too and from the airport. I enjoyed the quiet and relaxed atmosphere at this place and the beautiful garden surrounding it. I would highly recommend to anyone and would be very happy to stay again. Thanks so much!

Great location before or after the fligt around 10 minutes ride from the airport and 10 minutes walk from tuktuk rental, very clean and comforetable, good comunication with the owner. We are going to stay there also before our flight back home :)

My partner and I had the best stay at Star Canal Cottage. After receiving a great tuk tuk tour around Negombo from Leon at the start of our trip, we stayed at his guesthouse before our departure too due to his friendliness and consideration. Our room very clean, spacious and light, with a powerful hot shower in the bathroom. The location is great, close to the city centre with restaurants nearby, but down a quiet canal road to enjoy the peace. We read and listened to the birds on the terrace during the day, while drinking home made lime juice before an excellent dinner of home-made prawns from Leon. A wonderfully kind, funny, and diligent host (and now friend), we will recommend Star Canal Cottage to anyone wishing to visit Sri Lanka :)
