Shalom Villa is a home away from home. Nilu and Iresh make you feel welcome right away and help you with all your travel needs. The guesthouse is away from the noisy and bustling center, but within easy reach using the PickMe App for inexpensive and fast transportation. Coffee and tea are always available and shops are in close vicinity. I also liked the stroll down to the river. With so much nature around one might forget to be still in Colombo. Super friendly host. I arrived very early because of my flight and she came with a taxi to clean the room and i told her that Im super tired and need something to eat and she offerd me to bring me some food and was overall super friendly and helpfull.

I stayed 4 nights at Jay’s Guest and absolutely loved it! The room and kitchen were super clean, and the whole place felt like home. It’s perfect if you want to cook your own meals or do laundry during your stay. If the location works for you, I’d definitely recommend it.

This was the most unique accomodation we stayed at on the whole trip. I've read in some other reviews this was a hidden gem, and a gem it is! We got a room upgrade just because, the breakfast was amazing, the pool and sauna area really nice and the staff super attentive! Great relaxing time in Colombo before taking our flight back home. Wish we could have stayed longer! :)

Charming boutique hotel, nicely designed and decorated, with a lush garden. Our room was of adequate size (we would prefer it a little larger), very clean, with comfortable bed and all the necessary amenities. Nice (smallish) bathroom. We were warmly greeted and welcomed by the owner who offered excellent cinnamon tea and had a chat with us regarding Colombo and Sri Lanka. He, also, recommended places to visit in town and all his suggestions were excellent and to the point. He, finally, arranged our after-midnight transportation to the airport. If we visit Colombo again, we will definitely stay here again and we highly recommend it for a short or longer stay.
