Brand new accommodation, great location, super clean, air conditioning, lovely breakfast and just the loveliest hosts! Very relaxed vibe, quiet but also really close to the beach and restaurants, little supermarket etc.. Bunty and his lovely wife made us feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them. We also ate there one evening and it’s was delicious! It was an absolute pleasure to stay there .. Highly recommend!

The view from pool was marvelous and love the first sight of the room. Beach we didn't get the opportunity to view the Beach.

I would write a poem to this place if I could! This hotel, its owners Jeremy and Julia and the team made our holiday. We planned to spend there 4 nights and go further, but everything was so good, and we decided to spend here the rest of our holiday. Everything was spotless: room, team, breakfast, swimming pool, beach, ocean — just everything. Two things that you should know. First: there are many nice restaurants around, though there is nothing on google maps. Second: you definitely have to see the shop on the second floor, because Julia creates amazing clothes. The family was incredibly kind and helpful! We were given drinks upon arrival, they made breakfeast for us, and they did our laundry. They were also very helpful with understanding the buses, and they told us, where to go and which beaches to see! The house is beautiful, the room was large and nice, and the shared kitchen was well equipped and clean. Our room didn’t have a private bathroom, but we had a shared bathroom in another building very close. It was small, but it worked very well, and we had no problems with it!

The room is large and well equipped. Despite situated on the main road, it is very quiet. Very nice furnitured roof terrace and 2-3min walking distance to the beach. All kind of stores and a pharmacy around. Breakfast served in wonderful sea view restaurant. All amenities arranged in a good style. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. This is a very nice place. I would describe it as a bed & breakfast (not sure what it's labelled as on Booking). The owner lives in a separate house and guests stay in a new house with three or four rooms. Each room has a separate bathroom. It's all very roomy and the plave has a nice garden. It's also clean and the style is somewhat colonial with dark tree furniture. Wifi is OK but not great and that's the case wherever you go on Sri Lanka. I could do some work without problem and my daughter could look at Netflix. So, it's ok. The owner is very helpful and friendly and they have a washing service. The location is off Dikwella main street so it's quiet and it takes 5-10 minutes to walk to the beach across the main street and through some deserted plots. Since Surf Bay Villa is in the eastern end of Dikwella it's also close to Hiriketiya beach. Its possible to walk the distance but I recommend using a tuc tuc. This beach is nicer than the beach in Dikwella. Surf Bay Villa is definitely a clean, nice and friendly place to stay!

I’ve fallen completely in love with this place!! the female dormitory it’s super cozy, I’ve loved the yoga+brunch formula: waking up and having a yoga session in the jungle is amazing the staff is very nice and available and can arrange several activities the place is minutes walking from everywhere in hiriketiya - in one word: relax
